OVERVIEW:

The Shop Electrician is responsible for complete assembly of electrical equipment, components and systems. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assemble, construct and modify electrical and electronic equipment. Supports the Quality Management System (QMS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret approved IFM drawings
Assemble electrical and electronic systems including support structures and install components
Repair or replace electrical or electronic components
Job requires employees to use various hand and power tools: corded, cordless, and battery operated
Inspect and troubleshoot wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits
Train team members on assembly procedures or techniques
Collaborate with team member to identify and resolve production inaccuracies
Support Facilities Maintenance with infrastructure projects
Seeks opportunities to support continuous improvement within the department in support of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Train, coach, and mentor other team members.
Maintain 7S compliance and a culture of safety

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and;
Journeyman Certification or;
Certification from an accredited technical school or hold a current Certified Electrician.
5+ years of hands on electrical experience required
3+ years previous manufacturing experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
WORK ENVIROMENT:

Regularly exposed inclement weather: cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to communicate verbal and written.
Must be able to read to interpret written instructions.
Required to have visual acuity to operate various tools, read fine print, and identify colors.
Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.
Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs. unassisted.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor

COMPENSATION:

Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employees knowledge, experience and skill level.
