Network Systems Analyst – Denver, CO
Full Time Direct Hire
Position Summary:
The Network Systems Analyst responds to managements needs by analysis of problems or requests. This position requires design, implementation and maintains the solutions/processes of computerized methods for the optimization of network support. This position assists with managing TELCO, Cell and VOIP providers, including internal system documentation. This position requires project management skills for special projects related to network and mobile devices management. Provides subject matter expertise, operational and administrative support for networking infrastructure. This position works in 24/7 on-call support of production environment and will be escalation point for network issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
Plans/Designs and implements the project changes to moderately complex LAN/WAN/VOIP/MDM network infrastructures
Test, evaluate, configure, and install products that fall under area of responsibilities
Manage access to the IT infrastructure component and services within scope of responsibilities
Creates procedures for management of system users, user environments, directories, and security for each division based on environmental needs
Responsible for ensuring safety and security standards for the IT environment
Research and development of technologies that will improve company’s various network and voice systems
Conduct repair work with external companies, if necessary.
Monitor IT network and mobile applications environment including network performance, security and IT Infrastructure to maintain network systems stability and to improve network optimization.
Work with technology suppliers in a variety of roles supporting the network technology needs including: acquiring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues.
Perform control and quality audit of installation done by external companies: passive components/network equipment/applications.
Conduct troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems; resolve issues on-site, if necessary
Ensure fulfillment for quality of service (SLA) for network IT infrastructure.
Report utilization, efficiency of IT equipment/applications; register unauthorized or forbidden activities of the users.
Conduct necessary maintenance activities for all locations, including setting up new facilities and upgrading existing locations communications.
Execute defined processes, procedures, instructions; identify and recommend process improvements; prepare and maintain documentation and/or update processes, procedures and instructions accordingly.
Other Duties:
Serve as escalation point to the helpdesk for network side related incidents.
Participate in on-call rotation in support of the production environment.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science or equivalent education and/or demonstrated technical experience.
3-6 years’ overall IT experience with 3 years’ experience in relatively advanced network and application support for mobile network platforms.
Strong analytical skills.
Networking technologies including: LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, VOIP, MDM platforms, Cisco routers/switches.
Experience with JAMF MDM, Cradle Point Net cloud and Ring Central Phone System or similar platforms is preferred.
Experience with managing TELCO providers is preferred.
Learn quickly and tackle new and technically complex problems with courage and tenacity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company, customers, business associates.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional integrity and accountability.
Work in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Works independently with guidance on more complex issues.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Cisco CCNA or similar in other network disciplines.
