POSITION OVERVIEW:

Compensation: $40K - $50K

The Licensed (or willing to obtain) Insurance Customer Service Representative is an insurance account support specialist who supports customer needs for an independent insurance agency with an aggressive growth plan. This person works closely with our producers (sales team) and the Agency Manager. This person will be P&C licensed or willing to obtain it and as such when speaking with clients will be exercising discretion and judgment on all manners of insurance policies and coverages for the client’s portfolios including making recommendations for additional coverages. In addition, they will be conducting customer policy reviews), managing customer renewals, and handling customer insurance and claim complaints.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist agents in providing high-quality customer support
Along with agents, conduct Customer Policy Reviews and assist with customer P&C policy renewals
As needed, recommend insurance coverages and applicable policies as applicable to customers
Respond to and assist customers with claims inquiries and act as liaison between customers and carriers
Responding to emails and customer service tasks
Customer retention calls
Sets appointments
Review current policies
Processes endorsements
Files client activities accurately and in a timely manner into the agency management system
Provides quoting support to agents
Generates and distributes insurance certificates to clients
Maintains client files
Keeps record of all license renewals
Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients
Proofreads records, applications, and proposals
Maintain a quality service plan ensuring the accuracy of binders, policies, certificates, and other relevant documents
Fills out accord forms as needed for agents to quote
Inputs quotes on agency management system
Manage social media sites
Email production reports and work on other weekly processes assigned
Other duties as assigned and as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed for 1 year in property and casualty or willing to obtain a license within 6 months
Some insurance customer service and/or sales agent experience with policy changes, inputting quotes, client files, and agency processes
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience in using an agency management system
1 year office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EZLynx or AMS360 agency management system
