Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for performing engineering functions specific to transportation, drainage, road, and bridge projects under the direction of a Professional Engineer.

Essential Functions:
Working for and under the advisement of Licensed Professionals to fulfil transportation tasks.
Assist with design and production of roadway, bridge, and transportation planning projects.
Work in several computer programs, following training, to perform engineering and design tasks.
Apply knowledge to calculations pertaining to design.
Aid in the design of 3D models for projects.
Assist in estimating cost for projects and funding.
Assist project staff as needed for a variety of projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training certification
2+ years' of transportation industry experience
Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret basic scientific, technical, financial and legal documents.
Must have average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
Must be familiar with discipline related software applications.
AutoCAD Civil 3/D experience.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
