Meta is looking for a seasoned, strategic marketer who’s passionate about building immersive physical and digital brand experiences that enable participation and create connections, to join its company events & industry marketing team. The candidate should have a marketing background with deep experience in developing and producing hybrid, multi-channel experiences. As the Director of Global Experiences, the successful candidate will lead a team of experiential marketers responsible for conceptualizing and executing activation strategies that support Meta’s most critical company priorities and product go to market plans. They will need to continuously work with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business and help shape and communicate a compelling vision for the team. As part of being a people manager, this candidate should have the talent and passion for coaching, developing, motivating and growing individuals.Our programs often require collaboration with teams across the company to accomplish our goals. This candidate will need to be an influential leader with strong communication skills who can form internal partnerships and be able to effectively build alignment, resolve conflict, and manage critical matters across multiple teams. We are looking for a big thinker who has a willingness to innovate and take educated risks. This individual should have demonstrated success managing through ambiguity and can thrive in a dynamic and changing environment. They should be able to work with speed and simplicity and be the best champion of our brand by ensuring every activation is the best representation of Meta, our products and our mission.


Director, Global Experiences Responsibilities:
Develop experiential strategy, vision and direction for Global Experiences Team
Diagnose, troubleshoot and identify ways to improve processes and reduce complexity
Coach and manage team performance to expectations and optimize for individual strengths
Proactively engage and contribute to leadership team, culture and broader organization
Build relationships and trust across various levels of the organization in a highly collaborative, global team environment with an ability to influence
Partner closely with industry marketing to integrate content, insights, partnerships for events
Design innovative and inspirational digital and in-person activations and experiences that demonstrate the value of Meta - our products and services - to consumers, businesses, developers and creators
Partner with creative agencies and cross functional partners to bring strategic concepts, including experiences, to life
Ability to think innovatively, contributing new ideas that drive innovative experiences and impact for the company
Collaborate with leaders and partners to develop a 360-degree marketing strategies that align with Meta’s priorities and help support company goals
Partner with Decision Science team to define and report measurement metrics against program goals that lead to overall marketing effectiveness.
Lead by establishing DE&I as a key component in our business strategy, advocate for diversity and inclusion efforts, and be a driver of team culture
Travel frequently for events, often internationally



Minimum Qualifications:
15+ years of marketing strategy experience in the advertising, marketing technology, or media industry
10+ years of people management experience, and experience building, leading and inspiring a team
Experience managing complex projects and budgets with project management experience
Proven track record of creating innovative brand experiences and strategic activations for a wide variety of audiences
Experience managing multiple agency, partner and vendor relationships, often times simultaneously
Extensive knowledge of today’s advertising, technology, marketing, media and competitive landscape
