Job Summary

The Sales Development Advertising Strategist is an outward, forward-thinking partner to Effectv Sales. By partnering with Sales leaders, the Advertising Strategist will help determine the appropriate strategy, value proposition, and solution to solve the client's needs/objectives/goals. Effectv is uniquely positioned in the marketplace to help advertisers reach their consumers with data-informed media schedules across all devices and platforms. Driven by the strategies and insights created by Sales Development, first party data, and cutting edge new technologies, Effectv’s goal is to grow revenue tenfold in the next few years.

The Advanced TV arm of Comcast Advertising's Enterprise Sales organization focuses on partnerships with brands and agencies interested in programmatic and FAST advertising through Xumo Play.

Job Description

The Sales Development Advertising Strategist is an outward,forward-thinkingpartner toComcast AdvertisingSales. By partnering with theAdvanced TVsales team, the Advertising Strategist will help determine the appropriate strategy, value proposition, and solution to solve the client's needs/objectives/goals.

Core Responsibilities

Conducts proactive industry trend analysis (for 1-1 opportunities and 1-to-many opportunities).
Collaborates with sales and leadership on the market intelligence and POV forEffectv.
Collaborates with Data Insights & Innovation and Business Development to help support thatvision of new business insights.
Oversees the kickoff and development of a client’s initial campaign strategy, includingattending/conducting the discovery session, building/designing custom strategic PPT inclusiveof solutions, and runs as point when partnering with Centers of Excellence as needed.
Demonstrates an understanding of and an ability to speak to multiple Centers of Excellencewithin the organization tied to media strategy, creative, sponsorships, data, attribution andaudiences across our portfolio of solutions.
Identifies appropriate time to engage with various partner departments including Data Insights &Innovation, Promotional/Sponsorship Marketing, Product Development.
Develops discovery questions to determine client’s audience goals/value propositions.
Accompanies Sales and participates in client-facing sales presentations/pitchesand offers subject matter expertise, insights, and opinions.
Evaluates previous campaigns and optimizes/identifies upsell opportunities (incl. oversight ofCustomer Care Reports, Attribution Reports, and Quarterly Business Reviews).
Works with leadership and staff across the organization.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
Generallyrequires 5-7 years’ experience.
Innate curious nature and eager attitude to think outside the box, go above and beyond, and willingness to learn to adapt.
Ability to interpret data into narrative storytelling designed to break through clutter and connect advertisers with specific, targeted audiences.
Foundational knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and ability to speak to multiple subject matterexperts at the client level and within the organization tied to media strategy, creative, sponsorships, data, attribution andaudiences.
Basic design abilities (PPT, graphics, etc.).

Salary:

Pay Range: This job can be performed in New York City, with a Pay Range of $93,299.08 USD - $139,948.62 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.

Targeted Commission: $4,525

Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
