Silvaco is undergoing substantial growth, and is experiencing the related challenges worldwide. The Accounting Manager will provide essential support to the financial services department and assist in executing key corporate goals and objectives.

Position Description and Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager is an integral part of Silvaco’s Global Finance Department. Working closely with senior management in Santa Clara, regional account teams, and external service providers, the successful candidate will prepare consolidated accounting and management reports, operational forecasts, and implement US GAAP protocols company-wide.

The Accounting Manager will:

Participate in management meetings and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements in multiple currencies using Intacct global accounting system;
Supervise invoicing and global revenue recognition using SAAS software;
Ensure accounting policies and procedures conform to US GAAP accounting standards;
Supervise HQ accounting functions, compensation, intercompany cash management, tax review, system administration, currency revaluation, payroll, accounts payable;
Interface with global Sales team for revenue and cashflow forecasting;
Assume the lead role managing the independent annual audit; and,
Other accounting, budget, and operational projects as assigned.


Maintain and model professional standards of performance, demeanor and integrity.
Ensure projects are well-organized implementation plans are detailed and realistic.
Work with minimal supervision and occasional overtime to meet report deadlines.
Build creative high performance teams with constructive problem solving skills.
Seek clarification from Finance leadership when confronted with competing priorities.
Explain technical accounting issues to non-accounting management team and US GAAP policies to non-US (limited English proficiency) teams.
Maintain utmost confidentiality regarding financial and payroll information.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors’ degree in Accounting
Minimum of five (5) years’ direct experience with independent audits, revenue recognition controls, US GAAP reporting, budgeting, and global cash management
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Experience writing and reviewing internal control procedures that comply with SOX 404 standards, and US GAAP accounting rules
Pass a background check


Two years or more of independent audit experience with large CPA firm
CPA certification
Experience with global consolidation and multi-entity accounting, sales and analysis reporting
Demonstrated experience building and supervising successful teams
Experience with sales analysis and reporting


This role utilizes state of the art finance software to enhance productivity (Sage-Intacct, Host Analytics, Google Office, Microsoft Excel) for which experience utilizing these (or similar) software tools is highly desirable. This is not a position that allows for telecommuting. Silvaco headquarters is located in Santa Clara Ca, and is accessible by public transportation. Frequent international communications and occasional overseas travel are needed to be successful in this position.
