We are hiring for the Fall Semester!September 5th through December 18thThis is a great opportunity to work with a group of creative-minded industry professionals while assisting in the day-to-day operation of state-of-the-art academic shops supporting our student body! You will be involved in assisting college students as they turn their exciting concepts into tangible creations.
As a Shop Technician, you will:

Issues and recovers tools for students and instructors.

Cleans, repairs and maintains all tools.

Cleans and maintains all machinery in woodshop.

Regularly inventory shop tools and supplies

Prepare for sculpture classes including tasks like: making wax slabs, gathering class supplies, and maintaining slurry tanks

Perform basic construction and fabrication of sculpture related projects (shelving, pedestals, etc.)

Provide assistance to diverse student body as well as faculty.

Perform other shop-related duties as required or assigned


Must have working knowledge of sculpting tools and wood working tools.

Previous sculpting experience required.

Must have previous customer service experience.

Candidate must have friendly, out-going personality.

Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.

The position includes the following benefits: one tuition free undergraduate class per semester, paid sick leave accrual, and a 401K plan the 1st of the month following 60th day of employment.
