Børge Mogensen's Model 134 chest of drawers is perhaps the quintessential Danish Modern case piece. It's understated, elegant, practical, and skillfully made. And the four-drawer format is versatile: use the chest to stow clothes in the bedroom or dressing room as originally intended, or use it for extra storage beneath a TV or to tame clutter in an entryway.

Model 134 was made with various base types from at least 1954-1966 (probably starting earlier and ending later, but those are the dates we can confirm with our old Søborg catalogs.) The teak-tipped beech leg style on this piece is widely regarded as the rarest and most desirable, and it was only made in the earliest years of production.

The piece is composed of richly-colored prime teak with beech and teak legs and a birch interior.

CONDITION
Excellent structural condition. Our restoration work will leave the wood deeply clean and protected with a correct new finish consistent with the original design. Some signs of prior use -- minor marks and impressions -- will remain.
