Position Overview PNC Merchant Services (PNCMS) is seeking a CFO.
PNCMS is a joint venture between PNC (owns 60%) and First Data (owns 40%).
The CFO will work very closely with the PNCMS leadership team, responsible for all financial aspects of the business - strategic planning, subject matter expert for CCAR/DFAST, monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Due to the nature of the joint venture, the monthly close process is more complex, requiring an in-depth knowledge of accounting practices, including some knowledge regarding intercompany accounting and eliminations.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable with both strategic discussions/decisions and the resolution of detailed accounting issues.
Job Profile Manage and oversee a variety of financial management and accounting services.
Works to create a high performing inclusive team.
Manages information to support quarterly and annual external reports and preparation of internal financial and business metric reports.
Reviews and interprets financial reports to inform business decisions.
Manages and produces annual budget process and monthly forecast updates.
Manages strategic planning process.
Identifies ways to outperform.
Structures and manages performance monitoring and communications appropriately and delivery of ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, may include management accounting analysis.
Ensures accounting practices of the business are appropriate and collaborates with Accounting Policy on implementation of new accounting standards that impact the business.
Structures and monitors preparation of reports and analysis in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors.
Communicates directly with external constituents.
Prepares financial data and analysis to support risk management and identifies and escalates key risks to management.
May also contribute to risk review and challenge for the business.
Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes.
