Description

Assist in the development, maintenance and reporting of cost and profitability data to bank departments. Build processes that ensure accurate and timely reporting to users of cost and profitability information. Participate in training and assists in the development of bank models and associated processes.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for development of activity-based cost (ABC) models for the bank's support and operations organizations.
Coordinates interviews with cost center managers, supervisors and employees in these teams to establish accurate ABC results.
Prepares reports and presentations to review with center managers of results of ABC studies.
Maintain the ABC system, input and update data as needed and ensure results are accurate.
Obtain and load monthly volume extracts into ABC and profitability systems for calculation of results and ensure the integrity of the volume data.
Provides assistance to the Senior Cost Accounting and Profitability Analyst and Manager Cost Accounting and Profitability in the preparation of ad-hoc cost and profitability analyses.
Establishes and maintains appropriate documentation associated with all procedures and activities.
Operate systems associated with ABC and service billing including SAS, Essbase, MS Access or similar database system and excel models.
Participate in training, and other development efforts, including projects related to systems changes or implementations.
Complies with all related Federal, State and Industry laws and regulations pertaining to Banking.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years' experience in banking or related industry
Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting
Knowledge of excel spreadsheets and relational databases
Some knowledge of cost accounting software
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Some understanding of data base file management and query writing
Experience with data queries and presentation graphics desirable
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills, creativity and flexibility
Knowledge of operating and maintaining a PC database and operating systems
This position requires extensive or prolonged typing/keyboarding.
This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.
This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
