Performance Software is seeking experienced Avionics Cybersecurity/Software Engineer professionals with hands-on Avionics Cybersecurity operational experience for a major expansion of our Cybersecurity capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and completing the complex Cybersecurity requirements of our Avionics customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring our Avionics customers’ aircrafts are well defended against Cybersecurity threats by following federal law and government agency policies for information assurance. This can be a full-time (FTE) or contract position. We have offices in Phoenix, Seattle, New Orleans, Tampa, and Cedar Rapids. If one of these offices is not near you, then there is a good possibility you can work from your home.
This position involves:
Executing security tests for Avionics hardware and software packages
Documenting test results
Documenting the comprehensive security posture of Avionics systems of all types
Compiling information for compliance with government policies concerning Avionics Cybersecurity
Recommending and documenting comprehensive Cybersecurity plans for software, hardware, firmware and peripherals for Avionics systems
Performing studies and monitoring effectiveness of security controls to identify non-compliance and make recommendations for resolution
Auditing and reviewing Avionics system configurations
Assessing security risks associated with Avionics systems according to published policies, standards and procedures
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
CompTIA Security+ Certification highly desirable
2+ years experience with Avionics Cybersecurity/Information Assurance
Experience developing briefing materials for management
Ability to facilitate technical exchange meetings for technical and non-technical personnel
Windows Operating System experience
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) highly desirable
Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) highly desirable
Certified Ethnical Hacker (CEH) highly desirable
