Accounting Systems Senior Consultant

This position encompasses assisting clients with their accounting systems. Systems include their people, accounting software and daily processes. It includes walking through a day in the life of our clients to assess ways they can increase efficiency and streamline their work flow process related to accounting. While we have a high concentration assisting clients with QuickBooks products we also assist clients with other accounting systems and 3rd party applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as an experienced accountant and an eye for problem solving. Understanding all aspects of financial statements, inventory processes and general ledger accounting is a must. The Accounting Systems group is fast-growing and we are eager for you to be part of this growth!

In this position, you have the option to work out of our Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, or Charlotte office.

Here are some responsibilities you will get to take on:

Meet with clients to assess accounting systems, processes, and needs
Make recommendations for system requirements
Ability to quickly learn accounting systems, and be able to assist clients with system clean-up projects
Implementation of QuickBooks based on approved recommendations
Project managing implementation of other accounting applications
Conversion of accounting records for input into new accounting systems
Training clients on an individual or group basis on use of system
Trouble shoot problems and ongoing consulting after implementation
Working with financial statements, beginning balances and chart of accounts
Complex payroll setups in clients accounting system
Consult with clients on best practices related to their accounting processes
Supervise staff and provide performance feedback

Key Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
5+ years relevant work experience
Strong accounting knowledge; proficiency with financial statements, inventory processes, and general ledger accounting
Experience with ERP systems required
QuickBooks certification(s) highly preferred (otherwise, please include your demonstrated expertise/experience with QuickBooks with your application)
Ability to think“outside the box” and provide solutions to clients for various accounting related tasks and reports
Experience with project management, managing a team, and evaluating processes
Experience working with inventory and inventory structure
Knowledge of 3rd party applications that work with accounting applications
Strong Excel working knowledge

Experience working with the manufacturing industry
